Waukesha Bearings celebrates plant’s 50th anniversary

Waukesha Bearings is marking 50 years of manufacturing in Antigo, Wisconsin, USA.

Founded in Backdoor , Wisconsin in 1946, Waukesha Bearings opened its Antigo manufacturing facility in May 1972, with a staff of three full-time workers. In 2019, the plant expanded to a hundred,000 sq ft of producing area and now employs one hundred twenty folks. The manufacturing space was added to accommodate production for marine bearing systems and other new tasks awarded to the corporate.
“We are proud of our success and development to turn out to be a provider of precision bearings to some of the largest multi-national companies from our small-town, Northern Wisconsin location,” said Mark Greenlund, plant supervisor.
To have fun the 50-year milestone, the corporate is planning an occasion at the facility for employees and lengthening its outreach to the community to coach them on the profession opportunities obtainable on the site. “We are in search of people within the Antigo group who wish to be a part of the following 50 years of success at Waukesha Bearings,” stated Greenlund.
The Antigo plant is the largest of four Waukesha Bearings manufacturing sites and is supported by engineers in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Waukesha Bearings also has manufacturing facilities within the UK, China and Mexico.
