Waukesha Bearings celebrates plant’s 50th anniversary

Waukesha Bearings’ plant in Antigo, Wisconsin.
Founded in Waukesha, Wisconsin in 1946, Waukesha Bearings opened its Antigo manufacturing facility in May 1972, with a staff of three full-time employees. In 2019, the plant expanded to 100,000 sq ft of manufacturing house and now employs 120 people. The manufacturing space was added to accommodate production for marine bearing techniques and different new tasks awarded to the corporate.
“We are proud of our success and growth to become a supplier of precision bearings to some of the largest multi-national companies from our small-town, Northern Wisconsin location,” said Mark Greenlund, plant manager.
To celebrate the 50-year milestone, the corporate is planning an event at the facility for workers and extending its outreach to the community to educate them on the career alternatives out there at the site. “We are in search of people throughout the Antigo community who want to be a part of the next 50 years of success at Waukesha Bearings,” stated Greenlund.
